A Day at the Museum

Today we went to a fun museum in Phoenix. We went to Arizona Mining and Mineral Museum for Prospector Day. It was just me and the kids. We got lost on the way, but after we figured our way around one way streets and road construction we made it there.

The kids had a lot of fun playing on the old train outside in the museum yard. They got to make wire bracelets with some free gemstones (little ones that were drilled) and make a pet rock too.

In the pictures, the children cleaned some rocks. They got to touch a big rock that had all sorts of interesting mineral deposits on it. It was 81 degrees F today!

Sounds like so much fun! You know, there are times when I really, REALLY miss Phx! Like when it is 20 degrees outside for two weeks straight! :D
