Did you miss me???

I took a much needed BREAK yesterday and did nothing but tidy up my office. It is the room in my house that everything gets dropped into, but because it was so untidy, everything was getting dropped wherever in my house -- making it all messy. That will be a project for later today, but my drop room is clean now. I woke up at 4 am -- my baby boy was coughing and sounded bad, so I medicated him and cuddled him and let him sleep. Then, since I was already awake and could not go back to sleep, I decided to stamp. I made my own color challenge, as I was using some scrap designer paper that I want to get used up:

Ballet Blue, Green Galore, and Pale Plum

This first card was working with some images that I already had on hand. I have been trying to use up all the pre-stamped images I have lying around so that I am all ready for the new catalog -- which I might add is only DAYS away. The layout for this card came from blog surfing -- Jovi had this great snoopy card and I thought it might work -- I loved these tabs with the ribbon and wanted to put them on a card. I have seen them in a few places lately. Mice are watercolored using my watercolor wonder crayons, and aquapainter. Main image is popped up using dimensional dots. Scallop across the bottom is by Doodlebug Designs - Paper Frills. Designer paper is by Die Cuts With A View. Ice cube has crystal effects on it. Not sure you can see that. I also used liquid applique on the cottom puff. The bottom panel is textured using my Fiskars texture templates. Finally, I added eyelets in the corner to balance the sentiment that I made using my Karen Foster Design Snap Stamps - Mini Casual Alpha.

SC129 -- This next card I did for the sketch challenge on Splitcoast, even though I am a couple days late. I loved it when I saw it and had no time to work on it. I have also wanted to play with my mulberry paper ever since I saw a tutorial on mulberry batik.

The main image is by Oogaloo designed for Studio G (purchased at Michaels about a year ago and never used until now). I watercolored it in using my watercolor wonder crayons. I also colored the mulberry paper using my watercolor wonder crayons. I wet the paper down and then added color slowly and then dried the paper using my heat tool. The deep plum ribbon actually matches so much better in real life -- my camera just did not quite capture the color right this morning. I traced around various circular items to create the faux stitched circles in the background. Then I pierced the stitching holes. I added the eyelets at the last second cause I thought it would add something and I think it works. The sentiment is stamped using my Karen Foster Snap Stamps - Mini Casual. It fit perfectly in the layered ovals.

I have been watching my little counter at the bottom and we are slowly creeping up to 100K visits. This post officially marks post 300 for me. I am hoping we can make it to 100K in the next week or so, so we can celebrate and give some fun stuff away!!! Thanks for visiting and commenting and making me feel like it is worth it to share my love of stamping! I appreciate each and every one of you!!!
