Park Flag Dedication Ceremony

Last night we went to the dedication of a new flag pole in our local park. M had talked with me about donating to the scout troop who was trying to raise funds to make the pole and we decided it was a good cause. When we heard that they were going to have a dedication ceremony, I knew it would be cool for our family to be there. Here are some pictures of the event.

I bet that was cool to watch. What a great cause and a great way to teach your kids about patriotism!

How nice an event for the family. So often we forget about the history our flag stands represents.
