UNDER THE WEATHER

I just wanted to write a quick note to let everyone know I am under the weather. I have been having high blood pressure and lots of aches and pains and I promise to update my blog again just as soon as I can get myself back into good health! Thanks for all your well wishes.

UPDATE - February 6th, 2009

It turns out my pain was caused by gall stones and my gall bladder had to be removed. I had it removed laparoscopically on Tuesday after having and ERCP procedure done on Monday. I am still in a little pain, but I am recovering. It was my first time having any sort of surgery, so it was scary, but I made it through. My inlaws are here in town helping to look after the kids until Sunday. Hopefully next week will go smoothly - pray for me. I plan to update my blog in the next couple days with some pictures from my recent Disneyland trip and some from CHA.

Hi Amanda,

I am sorry to hear you are not feeling well. I know being a Mommy of a newborn is draining (my sister had her first Dec. 27th). Take care of yourself. Wish I lived nearby to help out and bring you some matzah ball soup!

Best Wishes,
Meredith

Amanda -

I know EXACTLY how you feel. After my 2nd munchkin was born, I kept having back pain, I thought it was from poor posture while breastfeeding. But after enduring it for 6 months I found out that it was gall stones. Two days later I started turning jaundiced and was admitted to hospital. Had the ERCP (what fun, eh?) and then my gall bladder out less than a week later. My only advice is to take it easy...I thought I was raring to go after a week, but should have taken it easy for another week.

Best of luck for a fast recovery.

Make sure to take it easy, I had mine taken out after my son was born (almost while I was pregnant with my son) don't push yourself.

I am not sure what is ERCP procedure is but I am sure it was painful. I had the scope done and it didnt feel nice.

Continued thoughts and prayers and hopefully you will be on the mend soon enough.
