A New Riley Release . . .

Have you gone over to Hanna Stamps yet? Last night we had so much fun at the release party and the design team uploaded a ton of new samples using the new Moose stamps! They are so awesome! I thought I would post my samples here, but I am not going to put all the details here -- but, if you click on them, it will take you to my gallery on SCS and they have descriptions and details there! Hope you have an awesome weekend. I am off to shop for a birthday present for my little guy -- he is going to be 4 soon, I can barely believe it!!!

HSC22 - A Fresh Color Challenge

I had so much fun stamping some cards for the next 24 hours. I am so excited for the big release tonight and for the PJ Party in the Hanna Stamps Forum. If you have never been before -- come on over to the forum on Splitcoaststampers and join in on the thread that says PJ Party and you will get to chat and have fun with us and do all sorts of fun challenges (one every hour from 7 pm - Midnight EST) and just giggle and have fun!

This card is for the color challenge that I was responsible for hostessing today... I chose barely banana, sahara sand (vanilla, or Prism Tawny light), bashful blue, certainly celery, and close to cocoa OR chocolate chip. Lots of choices to make it really, really EASY! I thought Riley in a blue suit at his wedding would be stylin' -- so here he is! I think they make the perfect couple. I was really pleased with how this color combination turned out! What do you think???

Stamps: Wedding Riley & Sophie, SU Fancy Flexible Phrases Paper: Prism Tawny Light, SU certainly celery, whisper white, bashful blue DP {SU!}, banana yellow DP - American Crafts { A La Carte - Asagio} Ink: Versafine Onyx Black Accessories: Dew Drops, Sewing Machine, white thread, certainly celery striped ribbon, diamond stickles (on the veil and dress), Prismacolor Pencils, blending stumps, sansodor.

Oh, and Thursday I have a 14 week Dr's appt . . . I am excited because I am only 6 weeks from my halfway ultrasound where I get to see the little monkey in action! YAY! Morning sickness has been getting lighter and my headaches are still around, but less! YAY Second trimester!!!

Another Hanna Stamps card and another Pasta Salad Recipe

It's getting warmer here and it has been awhile since I have posted a recipe for you to try -- so I thought I would do that today . . . I have been trying to cook the same things on the same days of the week in order to save more money for stamps, etc. SO, I have kind of let what's for dinner Wednesdays go to the wind . . . but I think I am going to start doing "What's For Dinner Weekends" and post a weekend recipe for you to try. I often have the most time to play and experiment with food on the weekend, and I bet it is the same for you! Let me know what you think of this new idea.

This recipe came off the back of a shells box and claims to be the "Best Ever Pasta Salad." I will let you decide:
INGREDIENTS:
1 16 oz. pkg of medium shells
2 c. cherry tomatoes, halved
1/2 lb provolone cheese, cubed
1/2 lb salami, cubed
1/4 lb sliced pepperoni, cut in halves
1 green bell pepper, cut into 1 inch pieces
1 red bell pepper, cut into 1 inch pieces
1 c. chopped green onions
1 (10 oz.) can sliced black olives
1 (4 oz.) jar of diced pimentos, drained
1 1/2 c. Italian salad dressing

1. Cook pasta as directed. Rinse in cold water to chill, drain.
2. In a large bowl, combine pasta with tomatoes, cheese, salami, pepperoni, peppers, onions, olives, and pimentos. Add salad dressing and toss to coat.

This card was a personal challenge to make something girly out of a very masculine set -- the new release from Hanna Stamps - Anthony! Perfect set for Fathers Day cards. If you order it ASAP, I am pretty sure Kristi is going to work her butt off to get it out to everyone before Fathers Day. This set came out last night at midnight, so it is brand spanking new. I thought, what is more girly than a pink sparkled cell phone. The layout for this was inkspired by the Mojo Monday sketch on Poetic Artistry.

Stamps: Hanna Stamps - Anthony, Karen Foster Designs Snap Stamps Paper: Pink Passion, Whisper White, Basic Black Ink: Onyx Black Versafine Accessories: Prismacolor pencils, black polka dot organdy, circle punches (SU), scalloped circle (Marvy), Creating Keepsakes Circle Cutter, Slit Punch (SU), White gel pen, Black gel pen, diamond stickles

HANNA PREVIEW: CAFE

GOOD MORNING! So last week, I got all flustered and almost posted this last Monday -- that would have been lucky for you, but it's finally that time again . . . time for me to start teasing you with some of the new Hanna images that will be released JUNE 6th. Are you ready? Is your wallet? I love the sets this month -- as usual they have something to offer everyone. Hope you will be able to make it to the release party on SCS to play in some challenges and be the first to get your new stamps! So without further adieu, here is a preview:

This image is a lot of fun to color. I loved that I could do makeup detail on her -- I added some brown eyeshadow, and pale pink blush. She is such a glam gal! Seriously wait till you see more stamps in this set -- this is just the tip top . . . there are lots of sentiments, and little stamps and WOW! You are gonna love it! Layout inkspiration came from the Featured Stamper Challenge, last week, peanutbee. Her gallery is just lovely and I found this layout that I thought would work perfectly with Hanna. I also found a couple of other layouts that I am totally going to CASE, so watch for those coming soon!!!
