Disney's Aladdin Jr.

My children had the opportunity to be in their elementary school production of Aladdin Jr.  It was way better than I expected!  I had such a fun time watching, even my littles were amused by it for 45 minutes which is AMAZING because they never last that long!

E was a towns person, and J was a guard!  They were in the first couple scenes, and then another closer to the end.  They did awesome!  I love that they were involved in something together!  It was also a fantastic way to end off their school experience here.

Oh yeah, I probably haven't mentioned that on here yet, we are in the process of making another move, this time just closer to M's work.  The commute has been killer and we need more family time.  It has been hard living away from a real city (where we have to drive into town to go to Dr's or shop at a mall or Target).  Also, the town we live in seems to have stagnated, growth wise, which is sad.  We just decided that we needed to move on now from our house here.  I will keep you updated on pics of the new home once we get there and get settled in . . . maybe . . . when and if I can find a second ;-)

J's First Soccer Game 2012

So a long while back, when I asked J what he wanted to be involved in this year, he told me soccer, so that he could earn another trophy.  Heheh!  I thought it was funny that a silly participant trophy was enough to motivate him to play.  He is learning so much better this year than he has in the past and really likes his coach.  He had his first game today.  All of the kids played so well.  His team lost 1-0 but it was great (well, what I got to see when I wasn't chasing the two babies).  Here are some pictures that Mic took while we were there.

Happy Birthday Michael

February is always really crazy for our household with three birthdays a week apart.  Michael copied me this year and got the same birthday cake (some cupcakes from Sweet Daddy Cupcakes).  We had a quiet party at home.  I got Mic some personalized guitar picks because he keeps saying he wants to play his guitar more.  Hope he finds some time to do that in the next few months.

Disneyland - February

We love our Disneyland trips!  Emma decided that she would like to have a Harry Potter friend birthday party for her birthday, so we decided we would take our February Disney trip on my birthday weekend.  I just love being there with the mouse on my special day!  I love that you get a celebrating button and that all of the workers wish you happy birthday by name!  Disney truly is the happiest place to spend your birthday . . . even if you are turning 33 years old.  I feel so ancient these days, and I know I am a youngin' still, but the 4 babies in 10 years thing is taking its toll on my body and I am always tired lately.

Still, we managed to do Disneyland from about 8 pm - midnight on Friday.  Then we got back to the park at about 10 am on Saturday (later than I wanted but we were pooped and slept in) and stayed till about 8 pm.  When we got back to the hotel, we put the babies and ourselves down for a nap.  Em and Jonah stayed up and were glued to Disney Channel.  I woke up again at about 9:45pm and sent Michael and the older two kids back to the park to play until close.  Then we went back again for a few hours from about 9 am until 2 pm on Sunday.  Phew!  So tiring!  I wish I had as much energy as my kids!!!

Here are some of our favorite pictures from this trip:

Meeting Donald - Megan was hitting his beak . . . lol

Meeting Goofy . . . the timing was right and we barely had to wait

MICKEY - My older kids are actually SMILING and you can see everyone's face in this picture - victory!

Woody in California Adventure, while E and I went on California Screamin' together for the first time

E being a goof in toon town . . . I love this girl SO much!

Meeting Pluto in toon town . . . Megan was new to this whole character thing at this point

Catching this view of the castle driving on the double decker bus at the top on a crowded Saturday morning!

Daddy Daughter Dance 2012

I was so excited that I heard about the daddy daughter dance, hosted by DSPA, in time.  It is one of the things that I LOVE about this town.  I think it is so neat that they get to go on a date with Dad all dressed up fancy from age 2 on.  E went before a couple years ago, but I kept missing it again.  I am so glad that they got this chance before we move away.  I almost sent Baby M as well, since she is a month away from two, but I decided not to because I thought they would have more fun together just the two of them.

Mic and E before the dance and E had a few desserts . . . a cookie

  . . . and some cake

E's 9th Birthday - Harry Potter Style

E decided she wanted to have a friend party for her 9th (no shock there) and the theme she decided on was Harry Potter.  Okay, normally I would be stoked about this idea, but because the movies are all done, there is like NO stuff out there to host an easy party with everything pre-printed which is about the pace that I needed right now because everything is all hectic and crazy (PHEW, that was a run-on sentence in a BIG way!)

Anyway, I tried my best and I think her friends had fun, so that is all that matters right???

Waiting on Platform 9 3/4 for her friends to arrive . . .

Eating with her friends, pizza rolls, chips and butterbeer of course

Levitating her cupcake plate with her magic wand (best giant glow sticks from dollar tree)

Everyone singing happy birthday to E!

Her owl cupcakes (okay, so they are kind of messy, but I tried)
